Annual Congress with International Participation

The Annual National Congress is the most prominent medical event in Turkey and it attracts 3-4 thousand people on average in the last 5 years. Another tradition of the last 5 years is the ever increasing number of international abstracts submitted to our Congress. Another standard of the last 5 years, European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) accreditation, was also obtained for our 28th Congress. 

28th Congress was held in Antalya on October 11-14, 2012 with a line for oral presentations in English submitted by foreign cardiologists. In our Congress, we shifted back from e-posters to printed posters in order to revive poster discussions among the authors and participants. 243 reviewers evaluated the 936 abstracts submitted for 28th Congress. 180 of the abstracts are accepted for oral and 422 abstracts for poster presentation. 3100 participants attended the 28th Congress. 

29th Turkish Cardiology Congress with International Participation will also be held in Antalya on October 26- 29, 2013 and again will be accredited by EBAC. Several sessions in the Congress will be held with international speakers. The participants will also have the opportunity to attend the sessions of the 3 major halls of the National 29th Congress where the presentations will be made in English or simultaneous translation into English will be provided.

The abstracts that will be accepted for Oral or Poster Presentation will be published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC) Online Version on October 29, 2013.

CME Meetings

In addition to the Annual Congress, the Education Committeee and Working Groups organize several annual meetings and local CME programs. Besides the Annual National Congress, Annual Interventional Meetingwas also accredited by EBAC in 2012 and this will be the Standard for the future Interventional Meetings. Each year more than 8500 participants attend to the TSC’s CME meetings of 250 credit hours annually. This figure is expected to increase with the international events to be organized in Turkey. World Hypertension Congress will be realized on June 27-30, 2013. EUROECHO-Imaging Congress will also be held in Istanbul on December 11-14, 2013.
