Dear Colleagues,
As Turkey was named by the World Health Organization among the best 4 countries in activities against tobacco consumption together with Hungary, Sweden and United Kingdom; Lancet published an interesting article on the subject just before the “World No-Tobacco Day, May 31, 2012”.
We recall with great content our Joint Press Conference at the Turkish Parliament together with the Cahirman of the Parliament Koksal Toptan, Chairman of the Parliament Health Commission and our member Professor Erdol, president of the TSC Professor Erol and the president of our WG on Hypertension Professor Ertas on the World Hypertension Day –May 17, 2008- when we declared and supported legal ban on consumption of tobacco in public spaces (https://www.tkd.org.tr/english.asp; https://www.tkd.org.tr/menu/209/).
