Condolonces for Dr. Cavit Hamisheyev

We lost Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cavit Hamisheyev, an academician of the Baku Medical University and members of the Azerbaijanian Society of Cardiology, Turkish Society of Cardiology, Turkic World Cardiology Association (TWCA) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Prof. Dr. Mahmut Şahin, President of the TWCA sent the message of condolences below to Prof. Dr. Faik Kuliyev, President of the Azerbaijanian Society of Cardiology upon this untimely loss:

Dear President Prof. Dr. Guliyev,

I learned with great sorrow that Dr. Cavit Hamisheyev, one of the esteemed members of both your Society and the Turkic World Cardiology Association, lost his life during the hateful assault of thieves at his home.

Dr. Hamisheyev had made great contributions to the preparation and realization of the 5th Turkic World Cardiology Congress that was held in Almati-Kazakhstan in 2005.

He was also one of my best assistants and a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology.

We will always feel the sorrow of losing this young and hardworking colleague of ours at his most productive period, and will keep his dear memory alive in all our future activities.

I extend my most sincere condolences for this irreplacable loss to you and to the Azerbaijanian Society of Cardiology.
