About Us
ACC Istanbul Consortium Chapter(ACC-ICC) was founded in 2010. The chapter consists of the Cardiologists of
Albania, Azerbaijan, Bashkortostan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
The founders of the Chapter were Prof. Dr. Lale Tokgozoglu (Turkey) , Prof. Dr. Cetin Erol (Turkey) and Prof. Dr. Sasko Kedev (Macedonia).

Mission
The aim of this chapter is to "to prevent the cardiovascular risk of the regional population by supporting the professional and public education and research". To reach this purpose
Chapter's three fields of activity are:
- Continuous medical education of cardiologists and other physicians
- Supporting scientific researches and publications
- Improving public awareness in cardiovascular health
This Chapter also aims to improve the relation and coordination with ACC to bring the excellence of ACC Leadership to the region.

Leadership and Governance
In order to make ACC-ICC dynamic, strategic, accountable and reflective of the diversity and breadth within the global cardiovascular community the ACC-ICC Leadership has accepted the 3+3+3 year rule for the governance of the Chapter. Members of the Board of Governors serve a three-year term. This will ensure the continuity and the dynamicity of the Chapter. The Officers of the Board of Governors shall consist of a Governor, Governor Elect, Past Governor, 1 Representative of Turkic World and 2 Board Members from the region.
