The meeting venue is the WOW Hotels & Convention Center which are located
across the Ýstanbul Ataturk Airport.
Continuous Medical Education Credits
24th National Congress of Cardiology will be reviewed for accreditation by
the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC). The accreditation
results will be announced in the "23rd National Congress of Cardiology
Program". EBAC awarded 12-15 credits to 22nd and 23rd congresses.
The program will also be reviewed for accreditation by the Turkish Medical
Association - CME Council in accordence with the UEMS standards.
European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology
The 24th National Congress of Cardiology is
accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology
(EBAC) for 11 hours of External CME credits. Each
participant should claim only those hours of credit that have
actually been spent in the educational activity. EBAC Works in
cooperation with the European Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution
of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
The program will also be accredited by the Turkish Medical Association - CME
Council in accordance with the UEMS standards.
Exhibition Areas
A large exhibition area has been reserved for pharmaceutical, medical and
literature
companies to present their products. It is obligatory to complete the
registration to visit the exhibits.
Meeting Room Technical Equipments
All the meeting rooms are equipped with LCD data projectors, computers, DVD
players and standard sound system equipments. Speakers are kindly asked to
inform Figur Congress Organization Services if they need any other equipment
in addition to those mentioned latest by October 10th, 2008.
The Best Presentation Award
Each of the 3 abstracts which will receive the highest point from the
Abstract Evaluation Committee will be awarded with 1250.-YTL. The evalution
results will be announced at the Opening Ceremony.
Poster Award
The 12th Best Poster Awards (a certificate and 650 YTL) will be given to the
authors of the best 2 electronic posters, elected according to their content
and presentation, by the Poster Selection Committee.
Abstract Book
Oral and poster abstracts will be published in the supplement of the
official journal “Archives of the Turkish Society of Cardiology”. Poster
abstracts will appear in the abstract book, and oral presentation slides
will take place in the interactive cd-roms of the congress.
Congress Language
Official language of the congress will be Turkish. Simultaneous translations
(English-Turkish and vice versa) will be provided for international sessions.
Posters
Posters will be prepared as e-poster and will be collected through the
congress website. You may find detailed information in the "How To Prepare
